Last Autumn, when my daughter turned 4, we decided to have a family outing outside Bangalore. it was the Mysore Zoo , that captured my daughter’s awe. She was soo excited to visit the zoo for the first time.
four and the half hours of driving from Bangalore via NICE Road to the Mysore Road NH275 and we reached Mysore on friday late afternoon. we pre booked the hotel Royal orchid Metropole. a heritage colonial bungalow converted to a star hotel.
our stay there was memorable because of the ambience and very friendly but very cordial staffs.
The colonial architecture, which made us feel immediately a sense of time travel. serene, and ofcourse delicious food.
The elaborated Indian continental breakfast was served at their tiger trail restaurant. staffs were friendly and food was yummy, it was all you can eat buffet.
Dinners were equally mouth watering, foods were served with ever smiling face. food served with smiling face tastes better and richer.
time flew past like swift breeze of spring, I made some sketches there too.
some ink and wash of those serene views .
Bonus for me.. an art room for kids.. with lots of art supplies.. I was overjoyed by that. Me and my daughter enjoyed some art and crafts time there.
it was a lovely experience for all of us. we would love to revisit the place again for sure. till then thank you so much Royal Orchid Metropole , it was great staying there.
